I have always envied those potters that have a definite style. Their body of work has the same type of glaze on every piece. The pots are all made in a way that seems to be all their own. When you look at their work it is truly a body of work. I, on the other hand, have a kind of attention deficit. I like working in different clays with different glazes and different techniques never staying in one place for long. Well I guess I must just give into my nature and go with it.
That is why for my big birthday this year I decided to make 60 mugs. They will all look different from one another and some will be stoneware and some earthenware but I will love them all equally well.
I have made a start and will be posting some photos soon.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about ADD pottery...it takes so long to make something that i've already mentally moved on before I finish the pieces i'm working on.
The mugs are a great way to have fun with it, I can't wait to see them.
